I bought this as an unsold floor model in 2006, but it was a 2005. It had Ultegra 10-speed and was new. It may be one of the only, or the only new bicycle I have ever owned, and it was nice. This was the nicest bike I've ever owned, and one of the newest.

(I think at one point in High School I had a new bike, a Kona Lava Dome, which I sold for some reason. I remember it had a straight-bladed fork and was light blue. It was a pretty nice bike. I don't recall why I got rid of it, but the way bikes were stolen back then, it was probably a good idea not to have such a nice one. I had two other bikes get stolen in that period.)

Anyway, with this Bianchi, I upgraded from a 25-lb, 14 speed steel bike to a 19-lb, 20-speed with integrated shifters that actually worked. I was very happy.

I sold it in early 2008 as health problems prevented me from doing any serious riding (or, eventually, walking or standing). Unsure of my prognosis for recovery (I have fully recovered), I thought it was silly to keep such a bauble, and found it slightly depressing to have this thing around.
